This page applies to ALL laptop brands and models, whether they were integrated by OVERAM (Mirage, eVector, etc...) or not (IBM, Compaq, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Gateway, HP, Digital, etc...).
If you purchased a Mirage laptop through OVERAM and it is still under warranty, then this page is not applicable, since service and replacement parts will be entirely FREE.

OVERAM publishes fixed and clear labor rates for laptop repair services. Based on the repair labor rate table below, we will charge the published labor rate for each individual repair that is performed.

Before we proceed to any repair or replacement, we will provide you with a complete estimate. If possible, we will give you multiple alternatives for laptop repaie and part replacement.

A diagnosis is performed on all laptops received to verify the problem and determine whether a part replacement is required.

Diagnosis is FREE if you choose to complete the repair. If you choose not to complete the repair after a diagnosis, a diagnosis fee of $50.00 will be charged unless we are unable to fix your laptop, in which case the diagnosis fee will be waived.

Please note that the table below refers to the service rate only and does NOT include replacement parts.

You are responsible for the round trip shipping cost of your laptop to our repair facility / service laboratory, and then back to you once the diagnosis and/or service has been performed.

DC-In connection replacement / repair Not all connections can be repaired or replaced, dependent on amount of damage.	$50.00 per notebook
Hard drive replacement No software loaded on replaced hard drive. See MS Windows OS installation labor rates below.	$50.00 per notebook
MS Windows OS installation with customer supplied Restore CD We will install using a restore CD and registration key provided by you. The installation is defined as the laptop booting up and showing the desktop with the Start menu.	$50.00 per notebook
MS Windows OS installation We will install the requested operating system version with the registration key provided by you. The installation is defined as the laptop booting up and showing the desktop with the Start menu.	$55.00 per notebook
Installation / configuration of device drivers	$50.00 per hour
Software troubleshooting	$65.00 per hour
Data backup This must not involve any opening of the laptop to physicaly access the hard drive. Backup will be performed externaly (PCM-CIA, network, cable, etc...).	$50.00 per CD
Data recovery / restoration We cannot guarantee that we will successfuly retrieve part or all information. This will depend on the state of the hard drive. If we are not able to restore any data at all, we will WAIVE this fee.	$100.00 per CD
Any other service not mentioned above	$65.00 per hour
