The CyberAngel® Security Software, a comprehensive approach to providing security for your laptop computer.

The CyberAngel® Security Software utilizes our patented technology to Alert, Lock and Locate in the event of an unauthorized access of a computer.

Alert of Unauthorized Access
User Authentication provides for "Real-Time" security upon violation, protecting assets and resources on that computer. "Real-Time" Notification (via e-mail and / or fax) alerts you within minutes of any unauthorized access attempts of your computer.

Lock Valuable Information and Data
Sensitive data and information becomes hidden and encrypted with a selection of today's most powerful encryption algorithms. Secure "on-the-fly" encryption of your confidential data prevents unauthorized access to your files, company financials, patient / client information, or corporate business plans. The CyberAngel® Security Software addresses specific requirements dictated by current privacy and information security acts passed by Congress.

Lock Communication Ports
Access to dial-up utilities are restricted, preventing unauthorized dial-up access to your remote network server, online banking or investment accounts. COM Port locking also prohibits unauthorized transfer of data from that computer to a PDA or handheld computing device.

Locate and Recover Lost or Stolen Computers
Covert transmission of location identification is sent to The CyberAngel® Security Monitoring Center, identifying the location from which that computer is calling, allowing for Tracking and Recovery of the stolen device. The CyberAngel® Recovery Team works with local police authorities, providing them detailed date / time / location identification, to affect recovery of that stolen computer.

Technology
The CyberAngel® Security Software utilizes our unique patented technology to Alert, Lock and Locate in the event of an unauthorized access to a computer. Using our secure password entry system, The CyberAngel® will Alert the registered user of any unauthorized access of that protected computer, Lock the communication ports to prevent the unauthorized user from using any dial-up networking software or utility to access the Internet, an on-line banking account, or more importantly, remote access to a corporate server. The CyberAngel® will also Lock the sensitive data stored on that computer with some of the strongest encryption algorithms available today. All the while rendering the protected files invisible to that "unauthorized user". When the client notifies our Security Monitoring Center that a registered computer has been stolen, we can then Locate the computer when it next reports an unauthorized access to our Security Monitoring Center. Our software is compatible with current Windows® ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP platforms.

The CyberAngel® Security Software Configurable Feature Sets
The CyberAngel® Security Software offers several configurable options designed to enhance the corporate security policy. Whether the need is Data Protection, Internal Theft Detection, Asset Management, Hardware Recovery, or any of the above, The CyberAngel® Security Software can play a large part in providing a solution. The Implementation Survey helps identify needs and goals of the client, and allows us to design a custom product that meets those goals, as well as assisting in developing a concise rollout plan. This survey helps us ascertain certain feature sets, notification paths, preload information, custom graphics, etc. that will enhance the product and provide a smooth implementation.

Data and Information Protection
The CyberAngel® Security Software allows for use of our encryption module to protect selected files / directories / applications, protecting the information and data contained within from the thief or unauthorized user. When The CyberAngel® Security Password is violated, protected data is rendered invisible to that "unauthorized user" and protected with the encryption algorithm chosen.

Communication Port Restrictions
The CyberAngel® Security Software allows for blocking of any communication port activity, restricting dial up connectivity to corporate networks, on-line accounts, and the Internet. It also prevents unauthorized transfer of information to or from a PDA or handheld device connected to that computer.

Internal Theft Protection
The CyberAngel® Security Software allows for location information reporting independent of the proper use of the password entry system. An event based counter triggers a silent communication to The CyberAngel® Security Monitoring Center, transmitting location identification information. This will transmit events even when the proper password is entered, but will not lock Com ports or encrypt files, so as not to alert the user. This feature also enhances the Asset Management program by adding additional tracking information about that computer the database.

Pre Load Information
Any of the registration information fields can be preloaded at build time, allowing for a smoother and more efficient implementation as well as standardization of registration and contact information.

Custom Password Prompt
The CyberAngel® Security Software visible password prompt can have the logo of the client's company inserted into the header of the prompt, making it more like a login for a corporate application instead of a security application.

Un-Prompted Password Entry
The CyberAngel® Security Software password prompt can be preset or changed to the Un-Prompted password entry mode. This is the highest level of stealth and security that The CyberAngel® Security Software provides. Only the end user knows when to enter the password, and only one attempt is allowed. It is highly recommended that all laptop users migrate to the un-prompted password mode whenever possible.

Notification Pathways
The CyberAngel® Security Software will send out a Notification of Unauthorized Use to the registered user or to the client themselves, such as a Help Desk or Loss Prevention Manager, in lieu of or in addition to the registered user. Multiple notifications can be sent, either by e-mail and / or fax. Once a computer is flagged as stolen (having being reported so by the client) different notification pathways can be utilized for more effective communication.

Hot Key Rearm
The Hot Key Rearm allows the user to utilize a hot key combination to rearm The CyberAngel® Security Software when leaving that computer unattended for short periods of time. Once the registered user returns, proper entry of the password disarms The CyberAngel® Security Software.

Keyboard & Mouse Lock
The Keyboard & Mouse Lock is designed more for desktop computers to discourage unauthorized access to daily data in an office setting. The keyboard and mouse become disabled when the password entry system is violated, preventing anyone from opening an application or proceeding past the computer desktop.

Configuration
The CyberAngel® Security Software provides the ability to be easily configured for specific applications. Our Sales Support Staff take the time to understand your needs and applications, how you implement software, how your users perform their daily tasks, so to help ensure product compatibility and smooth implementation. Our goal is to augment your existing security policies….not change them.

Reporting a Stolen Computer
Should you need to report a stolen computer, call our Security Monitoring Center at 1.800.501.4344 and select 6 to be transferred to our Stolen Computer Hotline. You must provide your Authentication Code to the Support Operations Engineer to verify your identity and account information. A member of The CyberAngel® Recovery Team will then gather additional information about your computer, details of the theft, and obtain the police report number and contact information for your local authorities. Your computer will be tagged as stolen and any subsequent activity will generate a Security Incident Report. The CyberAngel® Recovery Team will then contact that local enforcement agency to notify them that The CyberAngel® Security Software is active on that stolen computer, and obtain immediate response contact information in preparation for when we receive an alarm event from that stolen computer. The Security Incident Report will provide them with the date and time of the alarm event, the phone number or IP Address from where your computer has alerted our Security Monitoring Center, the name and address associated with that number, as well as other locating information, including a map to that address. It is the sole responsibility of the user to contact the local authorities and report any theft.
